The CEC is a non-profit outdoor and environmental education centre – we are excited to share our facilities and programs with you for FREE on Saturday June 8th!
Join us for the day or make it a weekend get-a-way!
50% of any cabin stays will be donated to our Educational Foundation (tax receipt issued), supporting environmental education opportunties for schools and youth.

INCLUDES
Cabin accommodations, access to shared use dining cabin facilities for personal meal prep, FREE Provincial Park Vehicle Day Pass and access to all weekend activities including a special Saturday evening program for our cabin guests only.

1-night Stay (Saturday night)

FRIDAY
Afternoon: Weekend cabin guests can check in anytime after 3pm
2:00pm: Special 25 years of operations celebration kick-off event!
Join us with guests, CEC clientele, invited dignitaries and the public are welcome.
Snacks and Refreshments provided. Please RSVP to laura@canadianecology.ca to this event if able to attend.
7:00pm: Campfire Social
*Bring your own campfire treats!
SATURDAY (FREE Open House Day!)
Free Open House from 10am to 4pm
*Saturday Cabin Guests can check in anytime after 10am.
*Day Guests Only – Stop in at the CEC’s Main Building to pick up your free complimentary Park Pass!

- Nature Scavenger Hunt

Traditional Fire Starting/Building Demonstration
11:30 am:
Introduction to using GPS (GPS units provided)
*Lunch break (12:30-2pm) – bring your picnic lunch
2:00-4:00 pm:
Come check-out the telescope observatory and learn a bit about space science!
EVENING PROGRAM
Starting at 7:00 pm:
Join us for a special Space Science presentation by guest Educator Rob Millard followed by a tour of the observatory. If the clouds part and clear skies prevail…we will open the observatory for night sky viewing at dark (around 10pm).
