What is the labyrinth?

The labyrinth (and similar spiritual forms) are often considered ancient spiritual symbols.  Though the meanings may vary between cultures, there seems to be a shared core idea that the labyrinth is a path you can trust.

When we walk a labyrinth, we let our own experience be the guide. The path of the labyrinth seems to meander and double back, reflecting the journeys we may have taken or the journeys yet to come. It can been seen as a metaphor for coming home to ourselves, of becoming, and all that we can or might be.

Although they share similarities to a maze, the labyrinth has only one long winding path that you can follow to the middle and then walk the same way back out again.

You might choose to walk the labyrinth in a slow or meditative way, spend “time” thinking about things or maybe even clearing your thoughts.

You can park near the Labyrinth and along Provincial park road (Bagwa day use road, follow signs) or join our riverside walk from the CEC starting at 7pm.

Saturday Evening Concert

An evening with local musician, Moe McGuinty

Moe’s been writing and playing music for over fifty years. From Alaska to New York to New Orleans and all across Canada he has played over 4,000 shows. Concert halls, coffee houses, casinos, biker bars, folk festivals and camp fires he’s pretty much played em all.

Moe was inducted into the North Bay Entertainer’s Hall of Recognition in 2022!

He’s got a guitar case full of sad songs and funny stories that tell the tale. Come out and join Moe one more time for an intimate evening of songs and laughter.

Doors open at 6:30pm with concert starting at 7:00pm

Tickets:  $30/door, $25/pre-purchase or $20/person with your cabin rental
